Abomination Of Desolation
I feel that it is so important that we all understand just what the Abomination of desolation is. Praise Jesus. DANIEL 9 – 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the SACRIFICE and the OBLATION to cease, and for the overspreading of ABOMINATIONS he shall make it DESOLATE, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the DESOLATE.
Most religions of the world run along the lines of sacrifice and oblation. This sacrificing of their lives in service or in other words oblation to God is expressed in all kinds of ways. Some choose through Jesus Christ the mercy of God to present their bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is their reasonable service, This being a Christians form of sacrifice and oblation.
Whereas people in the Jewish faith might choose through animal sacrifice to express their faith in God, this being their kind of SACRIFICE AND OBLATION.
People of the Muslim faith might believe in surrendering (or sacrificing) their lives to Allah, this being their kind of sacrifice and oblation.
Jesus was the ultimate expression of true sacrifice and oblation in that He gave His own life as a literal living sacrifice to the One True God, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (Jesus fulfilled this obligation to God as only he could)
Through Jesus’ true SACRIFICE AND OBLATION to God we too can present ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, or in other words, we can give ourselves wholly over to God through Jesus, this being our kind of SACRIFICE and OBLATION to God.
Whats happening these days is that people are being slowly introduced to a new form of sacrifice and oblation. We are somewhat unwittingly being led into giving up on all of our freedoms, giving up on our selves and surrendering our lives to a new form of worship and oblation to a new form of god (computers). This all leading up to the last seven years of mans history.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: Here’s the religions of the world all shaking hands. The Antichrist allows them to restore their worship (sacrifice and oblation) and give everybody religious freedom, so when he confirms the covenant, that starts the last seven years. (70th week)
And in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease: at the end of three and a half years he breaks the covenant. Right in the middle of the seven years the covenant is broken, all of these different forms of worship (sacrifice and oblation) will be made to cease (will be outlawed.) Then the Antichrist will place the abomination that maketh desolate in the Holy place. (Rebuilt Jewish temple 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
(Dan. 11:31, Matthew 24:15)
And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it (sacrifice and the oblation) desolate: This means that all sacrifices and oblations to God (or any other god) will be made desolate all over the world. This being the very essence of the abomination of desolation, they will outlaw (make desolate) worship of the one true God (Jesus) and so bring the world into idolatry, abomination and spiritual desolation.
Even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate: the abomination will be placed in the Holy place in the midst of the week and will make desolate until the consummation, which in the Hebrew literally means completion, or the completion of the week. Then at the second coming of Jesus Christ, the wrath of God will be poured upon the desolate, those who have accepted the Antichrist as God and worshiped his image which will bring desolation and abomination to all who believe in it.
